Basketball Tryouts

Well, I did it. I guess. We had our first tryout round for the baketball team. This year they decided to do everything a bit different this year. They decided that they are only going to have 1 comp. team for all of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. That is good news considering that there are like 40+ people going out for this one team. It also wasn't a good thing that I was sick the day of signups and the first tryout round. I did alright, but it wasn't close to my best. Although there weren't to many spectacular things going on. Which was good for me because I am amazing and got checked off by a rebound/shot in midair in scrimmage games. So coach (who is sorta strict and doesn't pay too many compliments) says " Wow, that was a good catch and shoot basket there." Being sick I said "(sniffle, sniffle) thanks coach" He was putting checkmarks by peoples names who did good and thought were good, like me, and pays them compliments. So I'm feeling pretty good seeing as though I was sick and still got checked off. Our next tryout/cut practice is on tuesday, so wish me luck!
